The role of the Major Trauma Centre Board is to provide information and assurances to regional and national groups that the Major Trauma Centre is acting in accordance with agreed strategies and policies and safely managing all issues relating to:

• High quality and safe care using state of the art technology
• Highly skilled and dedicated team
• Planning of robust local services
• Ensuring that major incidents can be managed locally
